This page explains how the Regional Centre for Cultural Animation website uses cookies, browser storage, and external videos and maps. Simply reading the website’s content does not require consent to external content.
Data controller and contact details
The data controller is the Regional Centre for Cultural Animation in Zielona Góra, ul. Henryka Sienkiewicza 11, 65-431 Zielona Góra. Contact: sekretariat@rcak.pl, telephone 501 577 329. You can contact the Data Protection Officer at inspektor@cbi24.pl or by writing to RCAK’s postal address.
Information about the processing of personal data, your rights and the possibility of lodging a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office is provided in the website privacy notice.
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files that websites save in your browser. The browser’s local storage (localStorage) can serve a similar purpose. What matters is the purpose of storing or accessing information, rather than simply the name of the technology used.
The website currently uses neither Google Analytics nor the Meta advertising pixel. The social media icons in the footer are ordinary links and do not themselves load plugins from those services.
- Website appearance — rcakColorScheme: when you use the switch, we save your chosen light or dark appearance in local storage. The stored data contains only the selected option, remains in this browser until you change it or delete the data, and is neither sent to RCAK nor used for tracking.
- Decisions about external content — rcakExternalConsent: once you make a choice, we save the providers whose content you have allowed or rejected, the settings version and the time of your decision. Your decision for each provider is valid for 180 days. It then expires, and we remove the record the next time the settings are read in this browser. The record is used solely to manage consent, contains no user identifier and is not sent to RCAK. We do not create this record until you make a choice. If your browser blocks storage, the setting works only in the current tab until the page is refreshed.
- Editor login: the editorial administration area uses technical Drupal session cookies to keep editors logged in and allow secure use of the administration area. We do not require people reading public content to log in.
Mechanisms that are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user may operate without additional consent. Storing or accessing information for other purposes requires prior information and consent under Article 399 of the Electronic Communications Law.
External videos and maps
Pages may contain videos from Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo, and Google Maps. Before you give consent, we display a local message instead of the player or map. We do not retrieve an external preview or connect to the embedding provider. A link to the source lets you open the content directly on the provider’s website.
Selecting the “Allow” button means that you consent to loading content from that provider and to the cookies and similar technologies it uses. Consent applies to that provider throughout the RCAK website and does not automatically cover other providers. After you give consent, content from the selected provider may load during subsequent visits for as long as your decision remains valid.
When content loads, the provider receives information including your IP address and technical details about your browser. It may store or access data on your device, measure viewing figures, and use the data for advertising or to associate it with your account on its service. The scope and retention period depend on the provider, your browser settings and your use of an account with that provider. The youtube-nocookie.com mode does not rule out the use of browser storage and does not replace consent.
- Facebook — Meta: cookie policy and privacy policy.
- YouTube and Google Maps — Google: cookies and similar technologies and privacy policy.
- Vimeo: cookie policy and privacy policy.
Providers may also process data outside the European Economic Area. Their privacy policies describe data recipients, the grounds for transfers and the safeguards used. You can read these policies before giving consent.
Changing your decision and deleting data
You can withdraw consent at any time beside the loaded content or in the settings below. The “Privacy and cookies” link is always available in the footer. Withdrawing consent removes that provider’s embedded players and maps from the current page and prevents them from loading again. It does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Withdrawing consent does not delete cookies or other data previously stored by the provider. You can delete them in your browser settings and use the provider’s privacy settings. Deleting the RCAK website’s data also removes your saved decisions and chosen website appearance. Settings are separate for each browser and device.
Without JavaScript, videos and maps remain blocked. You can still read the content and use ordinary links to sources.
